Around the hotel

1. Visit Andalusia, Málaga, Granada, Seville, Córdoba, Antequera...
Thanks to the hotel location, right in the geographic centre of Andalusia and near the AVE Renfe railway stations of Antequera and Málaga, as well as Málaga and Granada airports and the main motorways, it is easy to get everywhere. All these modern infrastructures make the hotel the perfect spot to go and visit most of Andalusia, since Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, Antequera or Seville are relatively near, while making it possible to truly relax when you return to the hotel.

2. 150 million years of amazing Karst rock formations in the natural park of El Torcal.
Antequera’s El Torcal area, the fist Natural Park in Andalusia, offers you the possibility of going for a walk, hiking, climbing, horse riding or mountain biking surrounded by rock formations of immense value. More than 150 million years make these Karst rock formations a magic spot that dates back to the Jurassic period.

3. Monumental Antequera
Antequera, only 10 away, contains nearly 80% of the cultural heritage in the Málaga province. From the very first Iberian populations with the spectacular and well-preserved dolmens of Menga (which are nearly 5.000 old and made up of megaliths weighting more than 180 tons), passing through the Roman and Arab times with the glorious Ephebus and the Alcazaba amongst many others, to the days of the Reconquista, with more than 30 beautiful churches that nowadays exist side by side with the stately homes built in the more recent centuries. All this makes for a visit of great interest with many spots to discover.

4. 11.000 flamingos visit us every year
Fuente de Piedra lagoon, just a few kilometres from the hotel, hosts every year more than 11.000 flamingos that find in this salt lake without predators the perfect place to settle and nest. During the flamingos’ stay the visit to the lagoon is a must for the guests of the hotel.

5. Fun for the little ones with Lobopark and El Refugio del Burrito.
The children will enjoy a visit to Lobopark (world’s most unique Wolf Park) and to El Refugio del Burrito (Little Donkey’s Refuge, a charity protecting donkeys). Meeting these two native animals from our land will be both entertaining and unforgettable

6. Astronomical observations
If you live in a city and it’s been a while since you last saw anything in the sky apart from the Sun and the Moon, the clear sky, along with the darkness and the altitude, makes the spot a perfect place to watch stars and star showers.

7. Defile of Los Gaitanes and El Chorro

The defile of Los Gaitanes lays very close to the hotel. It is an impressive narrow pass where the Guadalhorce river runs between big plates of stratified limestone.

8. Active tourism and adventure

There are several activities that take place in the nature especially in the Nacimiento de la Villa (the source of the Villa river) or the reservoir of El Chorro. Here you can practice archery, canoeing and hiking.
